Cal-Net Electrical Services and Cal-Net Media Solutions Ltd update on Covid-19 UK government definition of essential services relating to our company.
Dear clients and customers, please be advised as of Midnight 22/03/2020 until restrictions are lifted by the UK and Scottish governments, our operations will be limited to essential electrical and I.T. services.
These are:-
Any requested essential electrical or I.T. work to the NHS and Private health service.
Any NHS or Private health care critical electrical equipment requiring PAT or fixed (EICR) works will still be made a priority for inspection, repair and certification.
Any work to domestic, commercial and industrial premises where an immediate risk or fire and/or electrocution are present due to faulty “fixed” i.e permanently wired electrical apparatus.
Any portable electrical equipment in the domestic/commercial or industrial community not deemed critical care apparatus with expired test date will not be rectified by us until the business “critical work” restrictions on UK Covid-19 have been lifted.
Any portable electrical equipment in the domestic/commercial or industrial community not deemed critical care apparatus showing signs of fault/short circuit/burning etc should be disconnected from the electrical supply by the end user until replacement or repair by “competent” person has been made.
Any non-critical work, i.e scheduling /quotations etc to domestic, commercial and industrial premises will still be progressed as far as is reasonably practicable via remote working.
We will update our company policy as more government information is available.
Thank you for your understanding during these unprecedented times. With a concerted national and international effort, we will come through these extremely difficult times. Stay safe!
Best regards
